According to this information at Chicago Cubs Online, perhaps they shouldn’t be sad:
For reference only…. C.C. Sabathia’s career numbers against the Cubs’ current roster:
- Henry Blanco – 2-for-5
- Mark DeRosa – 1-for-3
- Jim Edmonds – 1-for-4 with 2 walks
- Reed Johnson – 8-for-21 with 2 doubles and a home run
- Aramis Ramirez – 3-for-7
- Alfonso Soriano – 8-for-25 with 3 home runs, 5 walks and 5 strikeouts
- 0-1 in 1 career start against the Cubs….9 runs on 8 hits in 2 1/3 innings. The Cubs beat Sabathia in Cleveland on June 21, 2006.
